The sponge can be used with or without household chemicals. For cleaning dampen the sponge with water and wipe surface clean, for polishing ,use the sponge dry and lightly wipe down the surface , This sponge will not scratch surfaces, however be careful as it may pick particles up that will scratch paint work.
