Green Beauveria: Natural Pest Control Solution
Green Beauveria is a biopesticide containing the white muscardine fungus, Beauveria bassiana. It is widely used to control a variety of pests including thrips, whiteflies, aphids, caterpillars, weevils, grasshoppers, ants, beetles, mealy bugs, termites, grubs, jassids, mites, leaf folders, lepidopterous larvae, soft-bodied scale insects, stem borers, and fruit borers.
Mode of Action:
When the spores of Green Beauveria come into contact with an insect host, they germinate, penetrate the insect's cuticle, and grow inside. The insect is killed within a few days, and a white mold emerges from the cadaver, producing new spores.
Suitable Crops:
Green Beauveria can be used on a variety of crops, including:
- Fruit Crops:Papaya, Sapota, Watermelon, Mango, Pomegranate, Custard Apple
- Flowering Plants and Medicinal Plants
- Field Crops: Cotton, Groundnut, Paddy, Sorghum, Sunflower, Potato
- Vegetable Crops: Tomato, Brinjal, Chilli, Capsicum, Okra, Pea, Cowpea, French bean, Bottle gourd, Bitter gourd, Ridge gourd, Sponge gourd, Cucumber, Cabbage, Cauliflower
Application Methods:
1. Foliar Spray:
- Mix 5 ml of Green Beauveria per liter of water.
- Spray on both sides of the foliage until runoff.
- Repeat every 10-15 days, with 2-3 applications as needed.
2. Soil Application:
- Use 2-3 liters of Green Beauveria per acre.
- Apply to wet soil as a basal dose along with organic manure.
- Refresh periodically with organic manure.
Dosage:
- Foliar Spray:
- Use 50-100 ml of Green Beauveria per 10 liters of water.
- Alternatively, mix 1-1.5 liters of Green Beauveria in 200-300 liters of water per acre.
